Kids Corner at Generations Urgent Care

Welcome to the Kids Corner at Generations Urgent Care — a friendly and fun space designed just for our younger patients. Here in our Kids Corner, you’ll meet our mascot, who’s here to greet you with a high-five, a smile, and lots of courage to make your visit a little less scary and a lot more fun. We’ve created an area where kids can relax, play, and learn a bit about what to expect before being seen — so coming in for care becomes an adventure instead of a worry.

From coloring and activity stations to gentle explanations of how things like X-rays and check-ups work, our Kids Corner helps children feel proud, safe, and prepared for their time with us. Whether you’re here for a quick visit or for something more involved, our friendly team and cheerful Kids Corner make the experience smoother for all ages, so your little one can feel confident and supported every step of the way.

What is Urgent Care?
  • It’s a special doctor’s office that helps you feel better when you’re sick or hurt.

  • It’s not a regular check-up, but it helps when you need to see a doctor quickly.

Why Are We Going?
  • You might have a cough, fever, sore throat, or a small injury.
  • The doctor will help us figure out what’s going on and how to fix it.
What Will Happen There?
  • We’ll check in at the front desk and wait a little bit (you can bring a toy or book!).
  • A nurse might check your temperature, weight, and ask questions.
  • The doctor will look at the part of your body that hurts or feels sick.
  • Sometimes, they may listen to your heart or look in your ears, throat, or eyes.

Things That Might Feel a Little Weird (But Are OK!)
  • You might need to open your mouth and say “Ahhh”.
  • They might use a small stick or flashlight to look at you.
  • You might get a small swab in your nose or throat—it’s fast!
  • If needed, they might give you medicine or a small shot to help you get better.

Tips to Help You Feel Brave
  • You can bring a favorite stuffed animal or toy.
  • Grown-ups will be with you the whole time.
  • It’s okay to ask questions or say if something hurts.
  • You can take deep breaths or hold someone’s hand if you feel nervous.

After the Visit
  • You’ll be one step closer to feeling better!
  • Maybe we can get a little treat or do something fun afterward.
